Iain Campbell

Iain qualified from the University of Leeds in 1984 and has a wide variety of interests in dentistry including implants, headache and migraine treatment, acupuncture and sleep apnoea/anti-snoring treatments.

He has studied restorative techniques at the highly prestigious St Anne’s Dental Education Centre in Manchester and received a Diploma in Restorative Dentistry from Leeds University in 2010 and a Masters Degree in Restorative Dentistry in 2015 with Distinction.

In September 2017 Iain was accepted onto UCLAN’S periodontology Msc Course, and has now been awarded his postgraduate certificate with merit in Clinical Periodontology.

Gary Rowland

Born and raised in Hull, Gary qualified in Birmingham in 1993 and he has added strings to his dental bow in the forms of an MSc from the Eastman dental hospital, surgical certificate in implantology from Manchester and a MFDS from the Royal College of Surgeons.

Gary has a special interest in anterior cosmetics (crowns, veneers and composites on front teeth) and is known as the 'go to' man for more complex restorative cases amongst his peers.

Outside of dentistry Gary can be found on the golf course, playing his piano or listening to his ever growing record collection.

Victoria Taylor

Victoria qualified from the University of Leeds in 1984 where she was awarded a prize in children’s dentistry. She has provided quality dental care at the practice since 1989 as well as bringing up 3 children. Victoria has also been heavily involved in the day to day management of the practice.

Lorand Sass

Dr Lorand Sass is a highly motivated dentist committed to his profession; He qualified in dentistry in 2002 and subsequently worked in a NHS and private dental practice in Cumbria.

Lorand is proficient in general dentistry but has concentrated in recent years on achieving the best methods of restoring teeth and providing cosmetic treatments to improve smiles.

While always having a strong commitment to postgraduate education to learn the latest techniques and treatments for his patients, Lorand completed a three-year Masters degree in Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry at the University of Central Lancashire. In the programme, there was great emphasis on developing clinical skills across the full range of dental disciplines and a strong focus on acquiring appropriate skills for communicating with patients.

During the course he accepted referrals to carry out complex restorative cases including tooth wear, erosion and full mouth rehabilitation using a variety of restorations from minimal intervention composites to more complex crown and bridgework and from which he gained a wealth of experience and knowledge.

Lorand believes one of his strongest qualities is his dedication to the profession, as he is passionate about delivering the highest standards of dentistry and exceptional patient care to all patients.

David Vivian

David Vivian qualified as a dental surgeon in 1988 from the Newcastle University Dental School (GDC No. 63294).

After qualifying, he returned to East Yorkshire to work in a forward-looking practice in Hull.

In 1990, he accepted a partnership at Newell, Pinder and Vivian, which became one of the most prestigious practices in Yorkshire before joining the James Hull Group. David still works at the practice on a part-time basis, providing the implant services he also offers at practices in Cottingham, Scarborough and more recently joining the experienced implant team at Campbell Dental Health in Scunthorpe.

David has over 22 years of experience in dental implants, and he has placed around SIX THOUSAND of them during his career. His key training courses include the prestigious Eastman Step by Step Course 1996-1997 and training on prosthetic aspects of the Branemark system 1993.

Since 1993, David has been a member of the Society for Advancement in Anaesthesia in Dentistry, and he has been a member of the Association of Dental Implantology since 1996. He has always been active within the British Dental Association and is a former president of the Yorkshire Branch.

Valeriu 'Vali' Osoianu

General dentist

Valeriu ‘Vali’ Osoianu (GDC No. 168840) has been qualified for nearly 15 years and has an impressive C.V.

He has spent a great deal of his time placing and restoring implants over the years both in this country and abroad.

Vali is very experienced in free handed and guided placement under L.A./G.A./sedation both in practice and hospital settings.

He is fluent in English, Spanish and Romanian.

Anna Hurst

Anna started as a dental nurse at the practice in 2001. In 2002 she became a radiographer, she then left the practice to attend the University of Sheffield in 2005, where she gained a Diploma in Dental Hygiene & Therapy in June 2007, returning to the practice team in August 2007 when she became the practices Dental Hygienist.

Samra Al-Hadi

Samra qualified as a Dental hygienist & Therapist at the University of Sheffield 2014.

She began working for the practice in November 2016 to provide maternity cover.

Helen Hornsby

Lead dental nurse
GDC No. 121493

Helen Passed her Advanced Lead Nursing Skills Level 3 with distinction.

Helen joined the practice 18 years ago, qualifying as a RDN in 2001, she then qualified as a radiographer in 2003, then in 2016 Helen completed her certificate in competency in impression taking.

Carley Brown

Carly began working for the practice in 2005. I 2006 she gained her RDN in 2007 the became a Radiographer.

Carly has many other qualifications which benefit the whole team, she became an oral health educator in 2008.

In 2010-13 Carly left the practice full time to study adult nursing at Sheffield Hallam University., where she gained a Level 3 merit in psychology, distinction in Neuro Linguistic Programming.

This led to he becoming a Neuro Critical Care Nurse in 2013 until 2015. In 2016 she returned to the practice as a full time dental nurse.

Kirsty Robinson

Kirsty started as a trainee in March 2007 and passed her National Dental Nursing exam in March 2009. She then went on to complete her Certificate in Radiography which was passed in June 2011.

Lauren Callaghan

Dental nurse

Lauren passed her Dental Radiographer qualification in December 2018.

Jess Kelly

Jess joined the practice in September 2016 as a Decontamination Operative.

She passed her training in July 2018 with flying colours to become a qualified Dental Nurse.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Receptionist

Tina started work at the practice in 1991 as a receptionist.

Karen Christmas

Receptionist

Karen started as a receptionist in 2007 and went on to pass the theoretical aspect of dental nursing. However she decided to pursue an administrative role at the practice.

Karen Wilson

Practice Manager

With over 12 years’ experience in the dental industry, Karen has extensive knowledge of CQC regulations and GDC guidelines and ensures that the practice is always compliant.

As practice manager, Karen’s main role is the efficient day-to-day running of the practice and supporting the dental team in delivering outstanding patient centred care and service..

Karen enjoys spending quality time with family, gardening, music and walking her beloved Dachshunds.
